What
is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness simply means
non-judgmental moment-to-moment awareness. It

everything around in an open, accepting and
non-judgmental way. Mindfulness allows a person to deal more
effectively with whatever life brings them, from a place
of inner strength and stability.
What is Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)?
This 8-week program involves the
step-by-step learning and practicing of various
mindfulness techniques, designed to help let go of
the past, worry less about the future, and live more
fully in the present moment. The mindfulness
practices include sitting, standing, lying and moving
meditations, designed to bring more awareness and
acceptance into our daily lives, and help a person deal more
effectively with their stress, anxiety, depression and chronic
pain.
